Tips and tricks
Short lessons from real shots.
Speed
- Short IN/OUT first. Check a short range of challenging frames before processing the whole shot.
- Check the range after edits. Track and Auto enhance may recompute frames affected by changes.
- The first run is slower: the tool is loaded onto the graphics card once per session.
- Half-size import for tests on 4K plates.
- CPU threads (Preferences → Performance) default to half the cores, so the computer stays usable while jobs run.
- Close other programs that use the graphics card (games, other AI tools) before a long job.
Quality
- Overlap hides the joins between chunks. Raise it only if you see a flicker at a regular interval.
- Hair: raise Fine detail mix, choose All frames, paint Unknown over the hair on a few frames and press Track fixes.
- Judge on motion: play in Loop; a still frame hides boiling edges.
- Edge Fix on Grey card shows spill and dark rims that are invisible over the plate.
- One object per layer. Two people in one layer are harder to fix than two layers.
- A negative point is often faster than three more positive points.
Safety
- Remove from List on the home screen never deletes files. Delete from Disk asks first.
- Re-track and re-run ask before replacing results.
- Duplicate Project before an experiment.
- Ctrl+Z undoes prompts, marks and slider moves.
- A cancelled job keeps its finished frames.
